ChesMRC’s 10th Anniversary Event

CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF HELPING FAMILIES SUCCEED

For many years we have worked towards our goal of empowering people from different cultures to become successful and engaged members of our community and we can’t wait to share those stories with you.

Please join our 10th anniversary event from April 20- 22nd at the Waterfowl Festival Building in Easton as we celebrate the families we have helped and the milestones we have achieved over the last decade. Thanks to the community, our supporters, our partners and our donors, we have become the reliable source of information and services for immigrant families throughout the Eastern Shore that we set out to be in 2012. We are honored to be here; we can’t wait to commemorate this huge milestone with you.

EXHIBIT TOURS


April 20 – April 21: Free 1/2 hour guided group or personalized tours open to the public starting at 9am through 4pm – sign up here  and take a tour through the history of ChesMRC and the families we have helped at the Waterfowl Festival Pavilion.

April 22: 9am-2pm – Free public viewing event with with music and dancing presentations throughout the day at the Waterfowl Festival Pavilion.

Very special thanks to Steve Lingeman, who has given all his time to photograph our families, design the exhibit and print the information panels  documenting ChesMRC’s history.

Also much gratitude to Angelene Sturgis, who has provided invaluable family interviews, words and narrative for this project, Kim McClean for creating the board display layout and Al Bond, President of the Avalon, who printed the overlays for the display boards.

An original artwork entitled “Paso Valiente” was created by local artist Rosemary Cooley to commemorate our 10th Anniversary with limited edition prints available to purchase at the event. Prints are also included with sponsorship packages as noted above.
