The July 2015 edition of Attraction: The Good News Magazine features the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center (ChesMRC) in its Faces of Philanthropy column, written by Amy Blades Steward. Amy has been a freelance writer in the community for more than 15 years, and her column features those who have benefited from the generous and tireless work of nonprofits on Maryland’s Mid-Shore.

Entitled Chesapeake Multicultural Center Offers New Beginnings, the July article provides an in-depth profile of the history of the ChesMRC and how it has been meeting the needs of the Mid-Shore’s growing immigrant population since its original inception in 2012.

The story also profiles Director Matthew Peters work in Guatemala prior to joining the ChesMRC; the organization’s mission and achievements; and the positive impact ChesMRC has had on the community at large and the Morales family, clients of the Center, specifically.

Please click here to read the entire article, or you can pick up a free printed copy of Attraction at one of 600 locations throughout the Mid-Shore’s five counties.
