ChesMRC appoints 2 new board members

Easton, Maryland, March 4, 2016 –The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center (ChesMRC) has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors: Rosalee Potter & Ginna Tiernan.

Rosalee Potter is an Eastern Shore native and presently serves as the Trappe Town Commissioner and Office Manager at Union Baptist Church. Potter’s volunteerism is extensive, currently serving on the board of Neighborhood Service Center, Good Samaritan Fund, Talbot Village Connections, Commission on Aging, Vice President for NAACP, Vice President for TACL and resides on the teacher recruiting committee for the Talbot County Public Schools.

Ginna Tiernan presently serves as the Interim Executive Director of the Adkins Arboretum.  Having held nonprofit and public sector leadership roles at the local, county, and state level, she brings nearly three decades of distinguished achievement in nonprofit leadership, natural resource management, land conservation, program development, community outreach, and volunteer recruitment.

Their experience and knowledge of the locality are integral to furthering the ChesMRC’s communication and outreach mission, and we are excited to bring their expertise to our organization.”

Founded in November, 2012, The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center (ChesMRC) empowers people from different cultures to become successful and engaged members of our community by coordinating educational and informational programs. Since its inception, ChesMRC has provided services to more than 1,600 non-English speakers in Talbot and surrounding counties, involving over 3000 separate requests for information and referral.
