ChesMRC to receive the William Donald Schaefer Helping People Award for Talbot County

ChesMRC was recently notified they will be the recipients of this year’s William Donald Schaefer Helping People Award.

The William Donald Schaefer Helping People Award for Talbot County, established by Comptroller Peter Franchot in 2012, is presented each year to individuals and organizations with an unwavering commitment to helping people. Nominees for this award are evaluated upon their demonstration of improving the community, aiding vulnerable populations, establishing partnerships to improve the lives of fellow Marylander’s, and responding to citizen problems through effective government intervention. For the 2017 year, the ChesMRC has been chosen to receive this prestigious award based upon these qualities and by best exemplifying William Donald Schaefer’s lifelong commitment to helping people.

ChesMRC would would like to thank the community of Talbot County for your support as we continue to grow and build upon our accomplishments of 2017.

Join us in celebration as Comptroller Peter Franchot presents this award on Monday, March 12th at 2:15pm. The ceremony will be held at the Eastern Shore Conservation Center located at 114 South Washington Street, Easton, MD 21601.
