5th Annual Multicultural Festival in Easton’s Idlewild Park

One of the ChesMRC’s major area of focus is to bridge cultural gaps between newcomers and the existing community through awareness and outreach.

We achieve this by promoting participation of the non-English speaking community in existing social and civic structures and events such as the Annual Multicultural Festival sponsored by The Avalon Foundation in conjunction with P.E.A.C.E.

Likewise, we also work to educate the established community on the positive impacts of an immigrant presence. Helping new residents achieve their full economic, civic and social potential benefits the entire Eastern Shore.
