For over a decade ChesMRC has worked closely with the immigrant and non-English speaking community in the MidShore region and many are now ready and looking for guidance on purchasing their first homes. This grant from the MHCF is helping us connect members of this community to knowledgeable, qualified, and verified lenders and realtors in the area who can ensure their safety and provide guidance during such an important and life changing endeavor. We are grateful to MHCF, our board and staff, and community participants for helping us to launch this much needed initiative.

ChesMRC staff members Alouse Jean and Marjorie Saint Fort cooked and provided authentic Haitian food for the participants to enjoy while learning about the ins and outs of purchasing their first home
