ChesMRC welcomes new Board Member Jay Anglada

Easton, Maryland, September 26, 2018 –The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center (ChesMRC) has appointed Jay Anglada to its Board of Directors.

Jay and his wife Judy currently reside part-time in Easton, MD and the rest of the year in Florida. Jay brings decades of experience in finance and accounting management. He was a career banker and served as an executive vice president of three large Northeastern banks.  He also has an accounting degree from Lehigh and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School.  After retirement he formed a small financial consulting business. Jay will be instrumental in assisting ChesMRC with capacity building financial management and strategic planning.

Jay is also moderately skilled in Spanish and will be helping in ChesMRC’s high school instruction support program.  A few years ago, he was a leader in the Unitarian church’s participation in the Migrant Ministry at several Caroline County farms.

Founded in November, 2012, The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center (ChesMRC) empowers people from different cultures to become successful and engaged members of our community by coordinating educational and informational programs. Since its inception, ChesMRC has provided services to more than 3,000 non-English speakers in Talbot and surrounding counties, involving over 6,000 separate requests for information and referral.
