Participants at the March 15 Immigration Workshop held at Easton Elementary School

Close to 150 applicants participated in the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center (ChesMRC) and Maryland Immigration Rights Coalition (MIRC) Immigration Fair held on Sunday, March 15 at Easton Elementary School.

The workshop provided free information on deferred action relief, DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival) applications and DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans), along with individualized legal consultations with attorneys and law students at no charge for eligible clients.

In partnership with The University of Baltimore Immigrant Rights Clinic, ChesMRC will host the next free Immigration Workshop on Saturday, April 4 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the ChesMRC Center. Though much smaller in scale, the workshop will focus on DACA/DAPA, Citizenship and Family-Based petitions. Registration for this event is recommended, as free legal consultation will be limited to 30 eligible clients.
