Shooting for the Stars: A Feel Good Story for Challenging Times!

We hope all mothers had a safe and enjoyable Mother’s Day celebration earlier this month!  During Mother’s Day weekend, we shared a popular post on ChesMRC’s Facebook page: Tori Gomez’ interpretation of the song “Everything I know” from the Broadway show “In the Heights”.  Tori came to the USA at age 5 from Mexico and she graduated from St. Michael’s High School TODAY.

Congrats to Tori and the amazing 2020 Class!

Tori has the dream of becoming a professional artist. Her video submission was part of a popular competition called “Broadway’s Next on Stage”.  Because of the lyrics and sentiment, “Everything I know” can be particularly touching for people who have left ‘everything behind’ at some point of their life, and for those who are grateful to someone special who made sacrifices to help them to grow and move on.
