The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center (ChesMRC) is a 2015 MELLFIN award recipient due to its exemplary work with non-English speaking families on the Mid-Shore. The award was presented at the annual MELLFIN Conference held on Wednesday, May 20 at the Church of Philippi in Hanover, Maryland and attended by more than 350 educators and practitioners from community organizations across the state of Maryland and neighboring states.

March Immigration Fair a Success: April Scheduled

Nearly 150 applicants participated in the March 15 Free Immigration Workshop hosted by ChesMRC and MIRC, receiving information on DACA/DAPA, Citizenship and Family-Based Petitions in addition to free individualized legal consultation. The next Workshop, scheduled for Saturday, April 4, will be limited to 30 participants, and registration is recommended.
